I noticed (somewhere - Google?) where Verizon lost a class-action suit and now offers prorated ETF's to their customers. This seems only fair, and the sole purpose of the ETF is to off-set the handset costs. So, if you leave Verison at month 13 of a two-year contract, my guess is that you would only have to pay $100 of your original $200 ETF.
My Question: Has anyone heard of Sprint offering a similar program? My thinking is that, in order to avoid a similar law suit and all of the money defending one entails, they'd be stupid not too. then again. this is big corporate America.
If there is a class action suit already in play, I'd like to know about that as well. Thanks is advance -- Bill

I try not to pay to much attention to lawsuits, especially class-action, where the only one who wins is the lawyers. I've heard that Sprint is considering a prorated etf, but I haven't heard anything rock solid on it.

A good program would be 200 or $10 a month left on the contract. This is an adjustment on CenturyTel's old prorated scheme which was 200 or $20 a month remaining back in the day of one year contracts.

Verizon's ETF reduces by $5 every month you stay with the company, regarding Sprint, I couldn't tell ya.

Sprint at this point in time does not have something of this nature, but I would expect them to soon, because At&t just announced something similar to Verizon's.
