You mean the lock code when you enter the manual programming? The SPC 000000?

Well, I'm not sure what exactly that is. I had before this phone a LG 8300 that when I hit the OK button and hit 0 it would ask for a service code. I then would punch in 000000 and it would take me into another part of the phone. From there I was able to customize a little and even unlock the mp3 player from that menu. Is there something similar on the Venus?

Yes, the LG had changed the programming. Instead with your phone, press
# # P R O G R A M 8 8 0 0 +Send or
# # 7 7 6 4 7 2 6 8 8 0 0 +Send

This is the new way of pressing Menu+0

I have an LG venus that I bought on ebay, and just like half of everyone out there, I bought a phone on the lost/ stolen list. I have given up on activating it, I would still like to use the phones camera and music capability though.
(it came with a charger and USB cable)
When I turn it on, It says LOCKED so I was thinking someone would be able to help me out here, I just want to use it for the features, not for calling. Any help would be appreciated.

If it starts up locked, you'll need to dial *228 and press option 1 to reset the lock code to the last four of the phone number. Problem is that device you have won't have a mobile number and *228 will fail, so only at a store with the tech can you unlock the device, but that's an "if" situation and may not work. I would try to get your money back.
