I apologize that the size of some of the pictures makes it hard to view.

Samsung also has two phones due out this summer, but since they don't seem to like having photos and specs posted, I decided to leave them off.

The two Sanyo models are due out soon, the other phones will be out by this summer.

The Motorola seems to be a beefy looking RAZR, but notice the wording says it is a rugged design but not military spec. Only the Sanyo models list as military spec, and neither of those have cameras, so it's a toss-up, do you want a camera or a tougher phone. A good thing, the batteries on these all rate at more juice then the standard IDen technology Motorola phones come with.

These phones are all considered nextel? since when is Nextel buying phone brands like samsung and sanyo? they are always strictly moto's.

Nextel isn't a company anymore, it's just a name, and Sprint owns them. Motorola owned the IDen technology that Nextel is based off of if I am not mistaken. The QChat technology that these phones are based off of is owned by Qualcomm, so they will likely be seen on any carrier that makes CDMA phones. From what I've seen so far, if you are looking for tough, the Sanyo Pro 700 is the phone for you, if you're looking for more features, then any of the other brands will suit you fine. The Samsung which are not viewed here because of their policy is listed as rugged but not Military spec, same with the Motorola.

So then shouldn't they just remove the whole Nextel phones section from the website and put everything under sprint? Especially now that Nextel doesnt exist

So Kitchenaid doesn't exist? What about Pontiac? Thing is these are just the surviving names of brands that were purchased by others. Nextel is now a name, that doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.

Now to get back to the topic. The QChat phones that are released this year will only work in selected small markets to reduce the impact of early bugs. Don't expect to actually be able to use your QChat phone to walkie-talkie anyone until sometime next year. Many locations will not even carry them until the service is available.
