I'm getting a blackberry through t-mobile because my mom's work is upgrading phones and I was wondering if unlocking it allows me to use the internet to it's fullest?
and also what features would I not be able to use?
My brother-in-law works for spring and has told me that there main location in salt lake will unlock phones so I plan on doing that. But I want to know if I'll be dissapointed.
thanks

you need to make sure that bis account is removed before you set up your own through att or if it was on a bes, that any IT policies have been removed.

Thanks manator. I didn't know that att would give customer service on something like this.
steva11, would I have to worry about that if the phone is brand new?

the easy fix if there is an issue is a soft reset.
with the blackberry powered on remove the battery.wait a few moments. replace battery and turn on. device will resync.
ensure that ATT has the IMEI
