They also said they needed good coverage. just giving options.

They clearly did not need your opinion Iowa. Stop trying to press ATT customers on OTHER providers.
They asked for the board's opinion, which includes mine. and if you actually read the post instead of responding with a negative post to mine without thought as usual, you would see they aren't an att customer.

The thing is they clearly stated they want to use their GSM phones and just swap sim card. That eliminated CDMA. I think that matter is closed.

I'm not going to flame anyone here, but iowa, if you come to other people's sections (obviously the two of us cover Sprint and CDMA and they cover At&t and GSM) and push your point of view hard, then they will come over to ours. I don't know if you've noticed, but check the number of GSM posts (At&t and TMobile) to CDMA posts (Verizon and Sprint), they outnumber us. If they didn't say they wanted to use their phones, I would have recommended a CDMA source as well, Virgin Mobile has been ranked as one of the best prepaid available, however when they decided they wanted to use their phones, that option largely went out. GoPhones aren't even close to the cheapest option, but they'll work fine for these folks, because they can use their current phones, and are only going to use them for an emergency.

I was just pointing out that buying a virgin mobile phone would be about the same as them buying a prepaid sim. Plus, this would also benefit others who may be in a similiar situation who might have thier own gsm phones but might not have the 850/1900 Frequencies.
