It's because he does not understand the lack of compatibility. It's like when someone uses an Tmobile phone with ATT, yeah sure, 99% of the phones and services are going to work all of the time, but there is that small chance stuff isn't going to work - like phones that don't allow you to program for WAP or MMS, stuff like that. It can all conflict with firmware, flex version and stuff like that. To me, really, it's an ADVANTAGE to have GSM service as most CDMA providers don't even let you take your phone to another carrier.

If t mobile was smart they would make it server side instead of client side. like i said, a drawback.

Mobile to Mobile on the top carriers is server side only, and cannot be guaranteed to work when roaming. Why? They can't register, as the calls are simply passed on to T-Mobile and MAYBE the tower/carrier can register the phone's service. Maybe.

Drawback or advantage? Mobile to mobile is an feature. MyFaves is a service.

Then why are they saying my fav won't work period? they are feeding bad info then. thanks for the correction.

If anyone says that, the REP is giving bad info. Not T-Mobile. MyFaves cannot be guaranteed to always register server-side due to the phone being unable to register the calls on our network, despite working 98% of the time. It's not guaranteed.

That is why they can be managed online, but the calls? Need myFaves phone to guarantee optimal service.

Your MyFavs w/ T-Mobile will work on ANY unlocked phone, you just cant use the my favs interface on the phone because lots of other provides dont have that interface.

Example: You have the my favs on t-mobile, you buy an unlocked Rogers phone, you cant SEE your my favs on the phone, because although Rogers has my favs they do not have the interface, but all your calls and texts to your my favs will remain unlimited!
