So I've been with T-Mobile since April of last year, and I've had a Sidekick 3 throughout the year.
The sidekick I have right now is my 6th sidekick and all have been through warranty exchanges. I've had to do 3 warranty exchanges within the past 90 days and from what I understood, they're supposed to send me a different phone.
I called CC this morning, and they told me that they were sending me a T-Mobile Dash.

My problem with this is that I'm a sidekick user, I like my sidekick data plan. I'm a college student and can't afford an expensive data plan and all of my friends have sidekicks so its super easy to keep in touch.
I guess my question is if anyone knows anyway that I can get a different sidekick, because I think they should have given me a choice if I wanted to change my plan or not.
My experience with T-Mobile has not been good, it's very irritating.

I understand fully where you're coming from, but the Multiple Exchange Program has only one alternative phone under Manufacturer warranty that we're able to support. I'm sorry for the exchanges that kept going on, but we only have the one phone. Another option you may have is to upgrade to another Sidekick, such as the Slide. It's cheaper than the LX, a newer phone, and will fix your issue.

This is exactly what happens when you choose a fashionable phone over a functional one. sorry your having problems man, but pick a more reliable phone. when i had t mobile i used nokia. i've never had a problem with nokia, so i would say give them a shot. they build solid phones for t mobile.

I love Nokia, too. They're very consistent.

honestly, the sidekick is a super cheap phone.
but all of my friends are on it so its easy to keep in touch with them and its the cheapest data plan.

ive had bad lcd screens, dysfunctional buttons, broken trackballs, just about everything you could think of.
and that sucks about the dash, i hate windows and i dont like windows mobile. i wish there was someway they could upgrade me for real cheap to the lx, especially all of the trouble ive gone through, because id really like to keep the sidekick data plan
