How come everyone thinks sprint is a "sinking ship"? This just goes and proves my theory that everyone cannot think for them selves and they follow whatever internet fad thier peers tell them to, directly or indirectly. Face it, even with all thier losses, Sprint is still the third largest carrier in the united states. And now they are backed by Google, the largest search engine entity in the world.

I actually think Sprint isn't doing all that well in this cell phone industry these days as compared to big names like Verizon, Nokia.

I hate to say it Bill, but by what you just said, you lost credibility. Nokia is a manufacturer, not a service provider. Sprint isn't doing all that well, and while they are third still yes, they are losing more customers then they are gaining. It just so happens that they are in third by a sizable margin, so even with the losses, will be in third for a while, and turnover with contracts takes longer then without. But Sprint is still facing an uphill battle, and even if it is only a 'perceived' battle, that still will affect the outcome. What Sprint needs to do, is make a significant effort in fixing it's customer service issues, especially with those that already have the service, so that they will have more then just a couple of people on this site telling others how good it is, rather then the many that say they got hosed. It's their current customers that are dissuading new customers from signing up, and it is their current customers talking about bad customer service that is hurting Sprint the most. Their coverage is good. Their data coverage is excellent. Their phones are good. It's the customer service and the perception of that customer service that is lacking. Unfortunately, that is the hardest thing to fix.
