This is getting ridiculous, there is NO gas/oil shortage. The oil companies have made in the billions last year and they still want to raise the prices? I was going to drive across Canada this summer so I will have a car when I get home but now it may be cheaper just to sell the car, fly home and buy a new one when I get there.

I got a 2000 honda civic & took $36.75 to fill up from slightly below 1/4 tank. It used to be physically impossible to put more then $25 to fill up. Of course it's going back few years but I remember running out of gas on my way home from the shore & got my car towed to next rest area. Filled it up & came out to $24.17. That's from highway rest area where gas prices were generally speaking higher then normal, too.

Increased demand from China has produced an increased price, do not expect it to go down anytime soon.
Gas here in Windsor Locks, Connecticut almost hit $4.00
When is it ever going to stop rising?
It's a scary thought.

It's not going to stop rising any time soon, and it's not going to go down. Now that demand is spiking they feel like they can gouge, and they can. There is nothing the federal government can do about it but subsidize those of us buying gas, and we REALLY do not want to see that happening. Get used to the price. The other day I saw 4.03 for premium, and unlike everyone else I said "Is that all?" No spike in my blood pressure, I'll live longer then others as a result. I have to drive to work, I need the gas, bitching about it won't help, bitching at those in charge won't help. Bellyaching at the pump won't help. I need it, I buy it, life goes on.

I am trying to make the executive decision and go back to riding horses. They can graze free on grass in the summer and in the winter hay and some hot bran mashes ought to do the trick! Then if whoever finds out we are all going to go that route I can see the price of hay increasing.

My son suggested riding a bike, too bad I work too far away. No way in heck, course if we all could really do a true strike that'd be great. But too many would lose jobs.
