Yeah 18 miles on the highway, which you can't bike on, so I'd have to do back roads. I don't think that would be such a good idea to attempt.

So what I just found out is Saudi Arabia is the place that has the gas.they can determine whether or not to flood the market or keep it all to themselves. They are the ones that are determining the price of gas in the world. They have an endless supply for the time being, (likely till the end of the universe as we know it) so they are the controllers. When they flood the markets the price drops considerable but when they stay out of the world market the prices soar, like they are doing right now. Now take into consideration that this information comes from Alberta and from a guy that actually works in the oil patch. Gas and oil is his business and what he told me one night really started to make a lot of sense. Take this for what its worth.coming from someone that has been living in an oil patch province for a few years and learning the ropes slowly but surely.

Just dropped to $2.25 here in JoMo (Joplin, Missouri). My sister lives in the LA area and she said it was about $3.25 in her area.
My boyfriend sent me a text about an hour ago and he had to change the price at the gas station where he works from 2.25 to 2.21. WOOT!

that does make since but it also has alot to do with greedy oil companies as well, because if thre was such a gas shortage then places like EXXON would not be making record profits

But the US is so oil dependent that we're not going to have freedom from dependence on foreign oil until we can come up with ways of getting our own.
At risk of starting a HUGE debate, anyone thinking of drilling in Alaska anymore, or has Palin blocked that idea?

Actually in times a peace the US produces enough of its own oil to be self sufficient, but stockpiles it and purchases oil form other countries, hell kind of makes you think that the US is run my AT&T executives lol oh and update $2.33 this morning , probably be cheaper when i get off work

Interesting. I never would have thought that the US would stockpile things (rolls eyes). It's actually kinda sad that they still decide to buy from other countries though.
Update for pricing in my area. IT DROPPED BELOW $2 YESTERDAY! Yep, gas is $1.97 where I live. I haven't seen those kinds of prices since I was in high school!
