I've always been fascinated with the phoenix. so much power. although in the cartoon she had more control over it and wasn't as wild.

The Phoenix wasn't a mutant, but all of the movies asides from the Fantastic Four are avoiding space aliens as much as they can.

I need an 18V Dewalt Hammerdrill with a very long bit to drill out my head a little so I can enjoy those. Actually, by definition that isn't a trilogy, just several sequels.

I can agree with that statement, maybe we should relook some of the listed Trilogies. Some of them were trilogies, some of them were serials, and some of them were just sequals. Obviously the superhero movies were serials, based off of it's original media, the comic book. Both Star Wars and the Rings are definitely trilogies, and the Godfather may have been as well. Most of the rest of them were definitely money based.
