Does anyone know whether Verizon and BlackBerry worked out a way to make the rings louder on the 8830 World Edition. Shortly after buying the phone a year ago, I was told the low ring volume was a known issue and that an update was coming shortly. Haven't heard from either company so thought some of the experts here might know.

there's a software update for it. go to www.vzam.net/blackberry and download the most current "blackberry device software" follow the instructions on the page closely. call tech support if you need help

Thanks for the attempt. I went to the Site but could only see updates for desktop software, which I already have.
Called Tech Support. He checked his Site and BlackBerry's and didn't see a thing. He admitted he/they know it's an issue, but nothing's been done about it.
