Hi I have opened a new line with T-Mobile,
beginning of 08 since I have relocated to SE Florida for Business. (That is why I need it a Local#)
My Original Line That I opened in the Tampa Area that was in Sept. 05. I kept the old line open also.
When I was opening the line, before hand I called customer service to explain what I was trying to achieve and they took care of it told me just go in the location pick the phone up and they take care of the” plan swap” on new and old numbers. Which they did but they forget to add features that I had for the longest time.
So I go in the store to initiate the transaction purchase the phone then on a paper comes up a $500.00 deposit which I said will not pay keep the line bye ( Customer appreciation for you.)
So they say no you don’t need it so we finish the transaction and go home.
a couple weeks go by and I get my phone disconnected out of the blue pay a $200.00 which I thought was suffice for my plan didn’t pay attention to it.
an other week goes by I get disconnected again, so I call them up they say now I owe them $291,34 that is what raise my concern since my plan is line 1: $159.99 Line2: $39.99 + 4.99 for 400 text messages. + Tax
At this point several associates from customer service realize that not that I have been charged a deposit but it have bin charged twice in the amount of $500.00= $1.000,00!
So they quickly sorry it wont happen again after that in the same month I have been disconnected 3 more times when I said enough.
So that is why I am contacting you!
The Phone that I purchased came unglued the front plate before the end of first month etc.(They stated that I have to buy a new one since it has been user damage from the inside out insanity etc. finally they exchanged it).
Please stop this to happen to other people!
It is very Sad that I have to pay for something that I can not rely on like a cell phone unbelievable. There goes my business at least 30% of it.
This am had a conference call that I was trying to attend needless to say I couldn’t.
I have had so much loses over this phone scenario (business cards, stationeries, envelops and all other kind of publications.), that I have decide it to disconnect everything because did not have the time to address it, (have to work for the living so we can pay our trustee cell phone bills!) and will deal with them on a legal level to, contacting you guys since never have seen anything like this before in my life!
Best regards

Wait, did you activate at a T-Mobile location, or a 3rd party store? And was it $291.34? Did you look at the bills to see the charges? If so, what were the charges (like overages, past due, etc)?
Here's the math I got: $159.99 + $39.99 + $4.99 = $204.97 then tax may bring it to approximately $230. What are the other charges you're so upset about? You may have international long distance calls, 411 are $1.49 per call, did anyone go over minutes or text? And why did you get disconnected so many times?
The part that confuses me is you got so vague about this it's hard to tell what the hell happened that you're so upset about.

that doesnt make sense at all did u ask what those extra charges are? r u just mad that they charged u 1 meeeeeeeeeeeeeellllliiiiooon dollars so u decided to post a rant or did u need help to figure it out and find a solution?
go into more detail about those additional charges, im guessing that rep that said "500 dollar deposit "then said nevermind just skipped collecting the deposit and it got charged onto ur account

The extra charges are the security deposit what they put on my account that they said I don’t need it otherwise never would of opened my account for one for two they added an other security deposit along the line which they supposedly credited bottom line when you open a new line of service it does not have an out standing balance!
I have the store manager signed of the contract that never need it a deposit.
So yes it is a weird scenario.
When I called numerous occasions they have told me they made a mistake and they will take care of it then the super wiser says that is my bills just eat it, that's not how it is.
In the 2 month period I have paid a $200.00 bill so how the heck I can be past due and disconnected 5 times in 1 month you with me?
Plus my plan is 6000 minutes where you going to go over it?
You got to be kidding me.
Text message I have a blackberry why wouldn’t I just send an email? Got it?
Just incase have sent a text that is why I pay the $4.99 a month.
411 I can look it up on the mobile web the Curve has a great browser.
Hope now you understand my frustration!
What about when they tell me oh sir your line is fine until 4/28
Then comes 4/25 am need to make calls for business and it’s turned of.
Explain one thing how come never had a problem with my service since 2005
Now out of the blue I have all the problems.
Along the year I have paid $500-$700 bills but they were right that’s the issue.
It’s not the money the company will pay for it no problem it’s a write of since as I said business.
The BBB rates them unsatisfactory and I have used them in Europe never any problem,

Did you have a check returned? Was there a $250 deposit you had to pay? When are your bills normally due? Were you aware of the $35 activation fee?
The most I got so far is approximately $30-60 for this deposit you're talking about, and the deposit is either $250 or $500. Were these two months the first two months of service, or just two bills? If it's the latter, it sounds like a giant misunderstanding and you're not looking at your bills. If the former, your bills had a single deposit, activation fee, and there's something else you're missing out from on your bills.
You're still vague with all this, so I'm still kind of lost. Have you looked at your bills at all by chance? And DID you go over your minutes?

Also, how many lines do you have on this account using your 6000 minutes? Seven? I've had family who had 5 lines on their account with the Family 3000 plan with the nights, weekends, and t-mobile to t-mobile calling and went over every month.
