I understand that U.S's gsm network frequency is different than that of other countries. Most of Europe & Asia gsm net work uses 900/1800 but in u.s. we use 850/1900. I came across unlocked nokia gsm phone that works on gsm 900/1800 frequency. Does anyone know how to tweak this phone to work in U.S.? Something internally swap out or some sort of tuning? Thanks in advance for any help/advise.

There is no way other than severe and unauthorised changing. might damage the phone.

Dag. I was afraid of that. Oh, well. Guess I'm giving this phone away as a present for someone who's making frequent trips to those countries. Thank you for your info.
