I had 3 cingular lines I uses for business, Business was sold April 30,2007 Stated in sales contract, that new owner would assume the Cingular telephones. Employee called three days later and changed name and address. Called month later and they would not fax previous bills because of recent address change, so employee said just to change the name back(putting it back in my name), but he did not change the address. In July he changed the rate plan. In October his employee phone locked, she called to get it unlocked and they would not do it because bill deliquent. Paid bill over phone. Phone disconnected in December for non payment. New owner called in January, claiming to be be me upset they disconnected and about finance charge. They transferred call and then he gave his name and said he had legal contract that phones where his. I learned about it late April when I pulled a credit report and it is in collections. All of the above info I got from CSR of Cingular. Fraud dept. first said not fraud because I knew the person. Next time not fraud because no one added a new line. My point is if not sent bills to another address. I had not authorized any of the transaction. I would have known about it befor collection and record on my credit bureau. I have been on the same wheel for several days, with no avail. Any suggestions how to get resolved and OFF my credit report

you are going to need a lawyer. your argument is someone posing to be you who knew your personal info (the very definition of identity theft) to make those changes
