I have a MOTOKRAZR and i got the phone in july. The battery has been dyingafter 6 hours after it has been fully charged. I was wondering if the one year warranty covers the battery? If It doesn't where is the cheapest place to get a MOTOROLA battery?

I Hope your not one of those people who like to use the phone while it's charging. that drains battery life alot. also so does overnight charging, car chargers, and not letting the battery fully drain occasionally. try ebay for a replacement.

no i dont use my phone while charging. i let my phone cahrge for about 4 ish hours. But my grandpa who has the same phone had the same problem for his battery but he bought a new one without seeing if his warranty covered the battery. which is what my question is. "Will verizon give me a new battery for my phone?"

if they wont.which i agree the prolly wont.ebay is the best place by far to buy a batt! you can prolly find one on ebay for a fourth of the price you will be able to get one in the store.

personally, i have always had problems with motorola batteries, and i charged it correctly. i had to get a new charger after a couple of months because the phone "didn't recognize it" anymore, and then had to completely replace the battery after about a year, because after having it fully charge, it would only last 5 minutes to talk on the phone then it died. so they will not replace it for you, unless you have insurance on it, then maybe they will. to make sure you get a new battery, i would buy it from the actual store and not on ebay if you want to make sure you are getting a legit new battery. good luck!

I have had issues with the batteries for this phone as well. It is best to charge the phone when the phone is turned off. Also be sure to let it run down all of the way like someone else suggested every once in a while. However, I have also found GREAT prices and deals on batteries for this phone on ebay. Just do a search. I've bought the same exact batteries [regular and extended] that Verizon has on their site for MUCH MUCH less!

Every phone comes with a 1 year warranty. Regardless what it is.unless you drop it and it breaks or gets wet.the warranty will cover any defects that is anything that goes bad with the cell phone. I work for verizon myself so I know it's an easy task with us. Just pick up the phone and dial your provider. The way it works is they'll send you a replacement with a prepaid return envelope for you to just drop in your old phone there.

I also have 2 Verizon Motokrazr phones having the same problem you described. While speaking to a Verizon wireless Rep (questioning when my new every 2 year plan ends) I explained to her the problem I was having with both phones. She advised me that Verizon was having a problem with the batteries on these phones-& I should go back to Verizon& they would replace it free of charge -she explained the batteries were swelling up & not holding a charge-(she told me it had happened to her)-Verizon did change the batteries free of charge--but at 1st no one knew what I was talking about--the clerks and the store manager didnt know about it--After he checked with the head technician they verified that the problem existed &Verizon was extending the warrentees on these phones because of the problem. So go back to Verizon &be insistent--This is not a situation they are making public. I'm in NYC
