My sprint Razr is no longer working. A friend gave me a razr she previously used with AT&T.
The new razr has a slot for memory card (that my SIM from Sprint fits in) and a slot for a AT&T SIm. My SIM from Sprint is twice as small and fits fine in the memory card slot, but then the phone won't recognize it.
It flashes "memory card inserted" and then just "Insert SIM."
Is this phone just not going to work for me? I have an unlock code but can't even get to that point cause it's not recognizing my SIM.
Help!

No it will not work because of two reasons.
1. You can't insert SIM card into memory card slot.
2. Sprint uses CDMA while your rzr uses GSM - different technologies won't work.
It's like you'd try to listen to FM radio on AM receiver - it will not work.

yep, just like the above poster said, it will not work. you should call up sprint, maybe they'll send you a new phone.

Apparently, GSM phones are not the only ones with SIM cards. These are cards whose primary job is to store the contacts.
