Hey there!
I'm new to this forum but not to Verizon, and I've had some - ahem - difficulties with my phones, mainly dropping them in the toilet. I had the Pink Razr for a while, but I dropped that in the toilet and it stopped working. Then I got my mom's old Chocolate and dropped that in the toilet too. That we managed to save, but recently it's been wonky. Its current issue is that if it's plugged in to charge, it's fine, but as soon as I unplug it, it just shuts off and won't turn back on. Oh wait. now it's taking to shutting off and restarting randomly even when it IS plugged in. I can't get a new phone for another month or so when my contract has to be renewed. How can I get it to turn on when it's not plugged in? Oh yeah, and I tried taking the battery out and putting it back in several times with no luck.
Any help would be much appreciated,

you need a new battery. It'll cost about $40. try asking for a discount. if you call customer service you can probably talk them down to 25% off and get free shipping.

Yeah, getLitnow is right.
Probably not enough power, switch batteries.
First call tech-support and ask them. They might have had someone else with this problem.
