I have a LG VX8600 from verizon and i have had it for a year however in the past month it has been very screwey lately, and i have no phone insurance.It has been doing a number of things.
1- my background picture has been randomly changing to the default red car picture and my pictures are not save however in a few seconds or minutes it will go back to normal
2- sometimes the background will just go black and it will look like it shut off but when i press a couple buttons it comes back on
3- when i open the lid most of the time it will just shut off even though i have full battery
please any help would be much appreciated i still have til march left on my contract and really cant afford to buy a new phone.

I would take it to a VZW retail store and have the flash the software (reload). this usually fixes any programing issues like you described.
