I just purchased an unlock code for AT&T/Cingular serivce provider for my phone. However, I keep getting a message of "not allowed." Does this mean I need to purchase a cable to unlock this particular phone?

The company I originally paid to send me an unlock code replied that the only way to unlock the phone was through SETools. Must I have a cruiser cable?
