I have a t300 and
I was reading the thread on firmware version updating and you claimed that it could be done by yourself. I was really shocked when i read this because I dont noe of ne service centers in my area and i really dont care about any kind of damage done to it
Its flash upgradeable? Meaning it can be done thru infrared to install the new R1G firmware? If it can be done do you know of the process or know some site that can teach me? Nobody but myself will be responsible for consequences.
I just really want that CALENDAR! thanks. mettleh3d

Don't be shocked man! It is always the safest way to upgrade the firmware when you visit the service center. You cannot flash the firmware through infrared, who told you that? This requires flash software which operates through the data cable. The T310's main distinguishing feature is the presence of a calendar. Otherwise, there is no actual software difference betwen the T300 and T310. Hence, the calendar application is not available for the T300. There are many sites that teach you how to flash the firmware. But that's illegal, and I can't give out the link. Check out the announcement section in SE talk for the latest firmware versions.

I thought it was thru infrared by guessing. No proof.
So what you're saying is that if i dont have a data cable, then it can't be done? Despite it already being illegal anyway.
I dont have a data cable, but if u know of places that know how, i do have an email address.
-edit- please enable "show email" in profile instead
Thanks a lot

Just try to search for mobile shops that have a SE sticker on their doors, and you'll have 80 % chance of success. And they don't ask for much money at all to upgrade your fimware. Flashing your fimware may be illegal, but it's also dangerous towards your mobile. A bad try and you can throw out the whole handset...
