I have a Nokia 5300 phone. It came with a 1GB micro sd card which apparently only works on Nokia phones. Can it somehow be unlocked so I can use it on a different brand phone.like Motorola? Thanks!

you know. I still have the 1 gig card from my 5300; I tried to use it in my Moto E398, then the T-Mobile Wing. No luck. So, logically, I assumed that it would only work in Nokia phones. Logic failed me in this case because I put it in my new Nokia 6300 and the phone doesn't recognize it either, thus not allowing me the opportunity to reformat. any help, anyone?

i tried formating it from the other phone n thru a usb stick on the pc.still isnt working.is there any other way?

I think it could be locked somehow. Ask the people where you bought it from.

Hey I have the Same problem where my memory card works only with nokia and not in other models also in card reader. I Think it is a virus or the memory card is password protected. Try to disable the password protect option. I format the card in different model of Nokia My card is working.
