My girlfriend was explaining to me that "T-mobile owned her soul" and said that she has a contract that doesn't expire until 2013. I'm pretty sure she's got to be mixed up so I figured I'd ask the experts here. She said how she got into this long contract is by a series of events that caused her to change her plan several times and every time she changed they added another year onto her contract. I personally have never dealt with T-mobile, but I've been with 3 other companies in the past. Every other company that I have used has had a policy that when you change your plan you sign a new 1 or 2 year contract and this new contract voids your old contract. Is this not the case with T-mobile? Do they simply stack contracts on top of one another until your contract will outlive you? Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

she is under contract for 2 years from the last time she made a change that required a new contract. if the last contract signed was a 1 year, she is under contract from whichever duration is longer; the last signed 2 year or the 1 year contract.

T-mobile does not double stack the contract, they always take the longer standing contract so you could never be in one longer then two years. I hear Verizon does double stack though anybody have experience w/ verizon doing that?
