Hello,
I bought a unlocked 7290, up top it says data connection refused.
All i really want to be able to do is text message, my plan is unlimited medianet.
Im not sure of any of my settings, im kinda new! the phone works but cant do much else.
Is buying an unlocked blackberry illegal thru att eyes? Can i get turned my service turned off?

the device you have does not use "normal" data. its looking for a blackberry access point. if you dont have a blackberry plan no data connection is possible
the unlocked device is not the issue. your data plan is. ATT doent care whose phone you use. but they will only support their own (as with most carriers). change your media net plan to a BB plan and it will work

So all i have to do is to add a bb personal plan and everything will work? Arent they gonna ask me what kind of bb, what the imei is? anything like that?
