My stepson who is deaf has a T-Mobile Wing. The phone part works fine but he cannot send nor can he receive text messages. (I tried myself when he was visiting the other day.)
He believes that he has text messaging as a service. If he is correct, what troubleshooting steps do you recommend?

go to support.t-mobile.com and search for text message settings. From there you will be able to send the settings to the phone. Let me know if that helps

Well, I did what you said and didn't get any settings. The search took me to
inquiraapp/ui.jsp?ui_mode=question
&question_box=%22text+message+settings%22
Can you be any more specific?
