Hi, I would like to disable the option for callers to "page" me since this feature is utterly useless and just wastes my minutes. thanks for any help

Yea, I don't see the point of sending a page, as you can see that you have missed a call, or see that you have a voicemail.
Pages are pretty pointless these days.

I don't see the choice to disable the page option from voicemail support. You could just out a block on the number that sends the text messages since t-mobile supports text message blocking now.

ATT's voicemail has the same stupid default paging setting.
It is called "Cut Though Paging" and here is how you disable it on AT&T:
Call voicemail and select:
4-Personal Options
2-Administrative Options
7-Cut Through Paging > Set to OFF
