I am new to mobilemedia but have been a Verizon customer for years. On Tuesday my LG VX 8700 had some issues as well as the cover of the power port coming off when I closed it tightly it caught onto the case.
So I called *611 and the man was very nice and had me talk with his supervisor about replacing the phone under the warranty replacement. They do not have the 8700 in stock so he went and sent me the LG 83550 which I love over the 8700 free of charge via FedEx 2 day.
When I got the phone they forgot to send me the cover for the battery so I called *611 again and right away the woman on the phone checked my notes and they sent me a free extended battery along with the cover without me asking. They even sent it out overnight and I got it today.
Yesterday when I tried to activate the phone it had issues so the woman also transfered me to the tech support who was the most patient person around. He walked me through everything from getting Backup Assistant Working to telling me about the phone.
He said the 83550 is better than the 8700 as he has not gotten any complaints. The stereo speakers are better than the 8700 and I like the outside SD card lot.
I was going to upgrade to this phone anyways so now I have saved money and time.
I will never hesitate to recommend VZW to anyone. For anyone on this forum who is looking to make a switch VZW is the place to go.

I'm truly glad you had a smooth experience getting your issue resolved. If only the process could operate that way for everybody (minus the phone having issues of course), but I'm sure your patience was also very appreciated by the customer service and tech support.

Yes ill add to this! these ladies and gentlemen on the customer service end are very helpful in getting you help! i was having operator error for the pearl blackberry and i was able to swap for the voyager and man this is a sweeeet phone! but yes verizon is hands down the best!
