Hi all
I just successfully activated my ATT GoPhone sim card from europe over wirelessDOTattDOTcomSLASHactivations (.not allowed to post links) (.strange you have to submit IMEI!?)
I choose the 10 ct/minute plus $1/day plan.
Now I'd like to fill my new account and activate Media Net unlimited, and have the following problem:
-can't login into my account to refill, because new password (change from initial password mandatory) is sent via sms, but there is no att coverage here in europe with this sim card.
.well, as soon as I get to US in the next days, this problem will be solved; will i be able to purchase then via calling 611 credit to my account using a non-US major creditcard?
if i purchase $25 of credit within the next 7 days i get a bonus of $10. does this only apply if i buy the credit online?
.hopefully then the activation of media net unlimited won't be to problematic anymore.
thanks.ter

final remarks:
-no problem to activate att gophone sim over internet form abroad (no coverage/roaming), you just can't login to your account afterwards due to the lacking new password which is sent to you by sms.without coverage abroad.
-solution: call att clientcare and identify yourself with alternate method (eg. sim number) than password: like this filling the account with non-US credit card was possible as well as purchasing media net unlimited for $19.
btw: it seems that us 1800 numbers can be called for 0$ via skypeout.
.now it remains to be seen if everything works when arriving in JFK in a few days.
