I just purchased today through Verizon a Motorola Razr 2. Its a great phone but I do not like the Wallpaper selection Verizon provides. So I went on a website and found some wallpaper that I liked. I sent to my phone from the website and though I can open the file as a text message on my phone, and view the file, I can not save it as wallpaper to my display settings. What am I doing wrong? Or is Verizon preventing me from doing this? Thanks.

No, normally you will be able to save the picture to your my pix and from either from there or your display settings change the wallpaper to it. Try to adjust the file size & settings before sending it to you.

Well, I have the answer guys. I just got off the phone with technical support from Verizon. The new Motorola phones from Verizon will not let you download wallpaper from third party members. You have to use the wallpaper that is pre-installed in the phone, link up to a Verizon link only and download wallpaper, or you can use a photo that you took with the camera on the phone as wallpaper. Verizon has a lock on us guys. And the wallpaper selection on the Razr2 is aweful. Verizon's own downloadable wallpaper isn't any better. Nothing we can do about it. I took a photo of a my black pants with the lens pushed down on top of them so I would only record black. I am using that as my wallpaper.
