to late already flashed fone, but with a different flash file. still no service, went to network tried all the selections in there and still no service. I didn't know how to backup the fone, so I search thru all forums till I found a flash file to restore fone to original state. The only thing now in the network band section is Automatic, 1900, 900/1800, European and WCDMA 2100.
Here is more info on new fone.

made in germany / FASTT-86086

On the box - packed in the E.U.
Motorola V3xx UMTS GSM900/1800/1900
v3xx, refurb, mod, lic, rohs, f/g
motorola reconditioned product
type: MUT6-3411B11
04DEC07-DJ5820

Not sure if this info is helpful.
------------------------------------------------
I have GoPhone "pay as you go" service with ATT and I would like for this fone to accept ATT as the carrier.

If it could be unbranded then flashed with v3xx ATT. I don't know, I'm learning as I go along.
I see the first person on this forum has a simular problem as me. His bootloader info is the same as mine.

Sorry late getting back to you, storms caused most of problems.

Here is some info I found on another forum.

Firmwares-Bootloaders and Carriers

The v3xx comes in 4 different types of firmware version, These are not interchangeable! These version are:
R26111MLD - AT&T - B/L 03.08 sticky
R26111LD - International Version and Cingular - B/L 3.02 or 02.E3
R26111D - v3xx i-mode - B/L 03.02 You an flash R26111LD over it
R26117RK - Vodafone Germany - B/L 02.E3 sticky
R261171RK - MAXX V3 and Vodafone Italy - B/L 03.09 sticky
R261171MRK - Reported to be Australian V3xx - B/L 04.10 sticky
If you have R26111LD and you flash R26117RK over it then you will be stuck with it, do not flash anything but your own firmware version!

If I can't flash (R26111MLD - AT&T - B/L 03.08 sticky) over (R26117RK - Vodafone Germany - B/L 02.E3 sticky) then I'm stuck with paper weight.

let me know what you think.

I was told it was new, never used. I believe my carrier uses the tri-band 850/1800/1900 and in my area it uses the Edge network. A mile and a half north of me is the 3G network. This is the fone's tri-band 900/1800/1900. I went to the at&t store which I didn't know was in my town and had them check it over. They said the fone doesn't have the right tri-band for my area. It should be GSM 850/1800/1900 Edge network.

Here is info from another seller.

I'm just gonna gather up all info for this fone and set up a listing to try and sell it online. I just wish I had asked alot of questions to the seller before purchase.

But before I do, I will wait and see what you have found.

Ok go to att and get your internet and websenssion config done , then also email me , i got the quadband flex that will enable it to have quabband .
That should sovle the problem.
I will have to play around with the idea of using the att flex only not the whole MP

Your not going to believe this, I had set the fone on the end table to charge while I was eating my lunch.
I accidentally knocked over my drink (soda) and it spilled over the fone, it smoked and I quickly unplugged the charger.
I cleaned it up as best as I could and letting it dry out a few days, I tried turning it on and nothing happened.
Seeing how soda was involved I'm afraid to plug the charger in to see what would happen, some parts may still be sticky.
Looks like it's fried, so I took the fone to the at&t store to have them dispose of it.

Old_Fool, Thank you for all your help, it is much appreciated. If I run into anymore problems down the road I will seek your wisdom once again. Sorry we didn't get to try what you had.
Thanks again.

I've been reading this forum, and I have a question. We have a Motorola RAZR V3 phone that's currently on T-Mobile and we're looking at switching it over to AT&T FamilyTalk since I have an iPhone. However, the firmware is for T-Mobile. I have the flashing RSD software, but I'm not sure where I can find the firmware I need. I need the firmware for either Cingular or AT&T, whichever is available. If you need me to look up some specs on my phone to find the right firmware, let me know and I'll send it to you.

Also, the phone currently has a SIM lock with T-Mobile, but I have the unlock code to allow us to get it over to AT&T. However, when I tried T-Mobile's unlocking instructions, they didn't work. Do I need to take it into the AT&T Store and have them unlock it, or do you have some instructions I can use to unlock it? I'm wanting to save as much time in the store as possible.

BTW, I already found a Cingular batter cover off of Amazon, so I'm one step closer.

Thanks a bunch!
Nathan

Press *,# and power keys all at the same time and let us know the infomation on there which contained your fone bootloader, firmware version.

If you have unlock codes for the fone, all you have to do is insert the sim card form at&t and it will ask you to enter subsidy pass and that when you enter 8 digits unlock code end hit ok and foen will be unlock IF you have the right codes.

Give us the info and will point you to the right MP or flex to change it to at&t

Hello! Thanks for the speedy response!

I tried pressing * # and the power key at once, but nothing happened. What else can I try to bring it up?

Excellent on the AT&T unlock info! I'll have the rep enter the unlock code in the store when I take it in.

Thanks for your help!
Nathan
