Technically no bootloader version. Probably the reason when I pushed the key commands nothing happened.
I've also backed up my current firmware using Flash and Backup so I'm all set just in case I accidentally brick it. Neat app! I'll have to register it and unlock the full version.
BTW, do I need to perform the firmware upgrade now before I get it switched over to AT&T, or do I need to do it after I make the switch? Or does it even matter when?
This has been interesting! I've had a great leartning experience out of all of this.
Thanks a bunch!
Nathan

BTW, why we're on the subject, quick question. I'm new to firmware updates, so I'm not sure about this.
After I apply the firmware update, if I ever reset the phone from the phone reset in the status menu (with the 6 zero passkey), will it restore the phone to the new (in my case AT&T) firmware or the old (in my case T-Mobile) firmware? I'm hoping it simply resets it to the new firmware. I'd like to do a quick reset before and after I switch over to make sure I've cleared the SIM of any information, and cleared the phone of any test calls we place on it right afterwards. That way I can hand it back to my family member all ready to go.
I personally use an iPhone so I don't mess with the RAZR too much except for these upgrade things since I'm the techie around here. I love my iPhone and wouldn't use anything else.
Thanks!
Nathan

Phone Model: If it's locked, ican unlock it. If you brick it, I can fix it
That did the trick! Now it matches the battery cover, and it's still placing calls over the T-Mobile SIM until we're able to get it switched over to AT&T. Thanks for your help!

IF you have the unlock codes all you have to do is insert the att sim in and the fone will ask for subsidy unlock codes you will then enter the 8 digits code hit ok and you fone is unlock and ready to use with att or Tmobile.

Excellent! Thanks for all of your help!
I'll remember that. It "should work" in the store, but in case it doesn't I'll know who to ask.

Hello Old_Fool,
I am back again in need of your services. I just bought another MotoRazr v3xx phone and while I was waiting for it in the mail, my old MotoRazr v3xx phone starting working again (not the one that fried) this one I had for little over 2 yrs. I had replaced the flex ribbon with no effect, then replaced keypad ribbon with same result. The problem with phone was that none of the keys except the on/off button worked.
Now that it's working, I was able to use (MPT) to upload my addressbook, ringtones and music to my PC. I'm afraid of turning it off and not work when I turn it back on, so now that my new phone is here, I am wanting to know if I can do a full backup of my old phone with F&B 3.7 and then flash the backup to my new phone. Details of both phones are below.
---------------------------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------
Old Motorola Razr v3xx Phone
Generic for 3G phones with boot ver. up to 06.10
Generic for phones with boot ver. up to 07.D0
Motorola V3xx (AT&T)
Motorola V3xx (Cingular)
Motorola V3xx (International)
============================================================
Reason for wanting to do this is, I am used to how the old phone works. Plus it has little more features than the new one.
I believe both phones have been flashed before, even though I was told they were new, never used.
If it can be done, let me know what is needed and any other tools that are required. Any other info you need let me know, whether it can be posted or I need to email it to you.
THANKS.

Yes you can use FB to do backup if you do the att one you have to chose the attprofile.
There is only different flex between them not firmware so you are ok to do so

Ok.
What format would you recommend be the best for the backup?
FB3 (CAB-ZIP archive)
FB3 (CAB-LZX archive)
FSW (CAB-LZX archive)
SMG (Binary files)
SHX (S-Records file)
SBF (Single binary file)
Do I need to have the phone in bootloader mode to do the backup or is that for when ready to flash?
I don't know much about the FB as I used RSD when I flashed the fried phone so any advice to start me out would be great and appreciated.
Also, let me know if I need to remove the memory card and the sim card or not, when doing backup and/or flashing.
