Hey all.
I'm currently using the T300 (had it about 9months now), and until a few months back, I had no problems with it.
However, recently when I attempt to call someone, It will state
"Connecting <name>.."
Then beep 3 times in quick succession and cancel the call.
It continues doing this for each attempt I make after this, and also I've noticed when this happends my network reception goes from being "full" to nothing.
At the moment, I've had no network for 6 hours, and "No Access" is displayed on my phone, however when it does work I am used to generally full reception (I live in a big city).
My brother is on T-Mobile also, and his phone is working perfectly at the moment.. (with a Nokia).
I intend on taking it to my nearest T-Mobile shop, to ask them for their opinion, but what do you all think? Is it more likely a phone problem, a t-mobile problem or a user problem?!

Whoa! I thought I was the only one with the beeping problem! Yeah, there was a point where I would try to call someone and once the "Calling" dialog box appeared it would beep 3 times and drop the call. Sometimes it would show the "Not accpeting incoming calls" icon, but most of the time the phone would have no indication of anything wrong. I took it to a T-mobile dealer to find out what was wrong but when they tested it the phone worked fine. I always thought it was something with the cellphone tower around my house and that T-mobile was working on it because after the problem went away I got a gigantic increase in service quality in my area. However, in your case it can't be the tower because your brother's works fine. I dont' know what to tell you, cuz I never found out the source of the problem myself, but just know that you're not alone with this problem. By the way, I have a T300 myself, and the odd thing is, now sometimes when I call someone they can't hear me speak. I thought it was the tower transmitting my signal or something that was going wrong.

It will not be problem of T-Mobile.
I think your antenna is broken (have you ever changed the cover of your phone or playing with the antenna).
Or your phone is not 100%
The antenna is placed above your battery cap.
If you have never touched it.
Then don't do it.
You can bring it then to your nearest SE Service Point or bring/send it to T-Mobile, they give you a new one.
If you have played with it, then it's your problem and the Service Point can't help you out.
Greetz,
Sean B
A nice Edit for both of you:
Bring it to T-Mobile or the SonyEricsson Service Point.
They will repair it.
It's a programming error (ask gforce23 for more details)

Wikid.. thanks for the feedback!!
I've still not taken it back yet, due to too much work to be done, however following Sean B's advice, will the software update cost me anything? I'm a poor, poor, poor student..
Zero2none5012: Yeah, I have exactly the same thing with the "reject incoming calls" icon coming up randomly.. Its hella annoying, esp. when someone is trying to contact me, and shouts at me for having my phone turned off..

Ah bugger.. it is still, but only under the warranty of the shop I got it from - sadly i got it from a catalogue store, so I think they're either take my phone and send it off for repairing, or take my phone and give me a refund..
heh.. my phone's doing it again.. "No access.."

I have the same problem as described above. My phone will connect to the local server in some areas and in other it shows No Network. The phone was first purchased through cingular, but since I am now overseas in Iceland I have had the phone unlocked. I have taken the phone to Simmins, and they are unable to assist. I'm uncertain what exactly is going on, whether it's my sim card, reception (my friend has the same phone and she is able to use hers perfectly fine using Simmins), or just me. If it is a progamming error is it possible for me to repair it, since I am overseas and do not have access to a Cingular office?
