This is incorrect.
The first time you charge the battery is the charge that calibrates it for use. The moving icon on the screen is NOT a clear indicator of how much it is charged at this point.
If you remove the plug before the 16 hours then the phone will think it is because the battery is full. Any time you charge the battery up after this it will only charge up to a certain point before the battery thinks it is full.

The battery doesn't last very long anyway, but if you find it is lasting less than 2-3 days then take it to a repair centre. They can recalibrate the battery for you.

Hey I'm a new owner of the T610 and I just read this....

umm....I charged mine for like 45 minutes and then unplugged it (I didn't plan on reading the instruction manual and figured i'd learn the niceities of the phone ass I messed around with it over time icon_angel.gif )

However now I'm screwed because as you said it think the battery is freaking full after 16 hours.

What should I do? Just take it back and say the battery is draining fast (which is true?)- I bought it from the Tmobile store in the mall like 4 hours ago (I can return it tomorrow obviously)

or would I have to drive to a "Repair" center

Oh- My brother on the Samsung E105 did the exact same thing....

....next time I WILL Read the manual...

but since i'm on the 14 days can't I just tell them the truth (well it'd still be the truth but I wouldn't elaborate as to WHY its like that icon_wink.gif ) of what happened or will there be some lame charge?

thanks

reply here or mail me at amanghi(a)uciDOTedu

replace (a) with @

Hi everyone!

I am new to the T610, I used a Motorola V60i before. I just got my phone on Tuesday and charged it for the first time for about 13.5 hours (the guy at the store said 12 hrs. should do it) During Wednesday and Thrusday I uploaded the contacts, some pics, personalize the settings, etc. I even made and recieved a few calls.
So, to my susprise the battery went dead on me last night (Thrusday) around Midnight. I charged the phone until 9:50 a.m. and then carged it in the car for about 30 mins.
I am expecting the battery to last at least 4 days with normal usage.
Is this accurate? Or should I take it back to the store?

Oh yes! BTW, will the battery indicator ever specify if its FULLY charged? (ie, charge complete, charged, etc) instead of just flashing CHARGING.

Thanks to all!
