I live 5 miles from the cell tower,on the side of a hill. I have to go to the top of the hill to get service. Is there anything I can do to get service at home? Have tried three different providers and get the same problem. hope someone can help. Scott [/i]

Yes, there is something you can do. Check out the people at Unwired Signal . com. I had the exact same problem with 1900 MHz and a friend told me to call them.
I wound up buying a repeater kit that is bad to the bone. But what made me feel comfortable doing it was, first my friend, then the guy at Unwired Signal asked me all kinds of questions, like how strong is the outside signal on the ground, are there trees around, etc - before telling me what I should buy.
I have been so blown away about how good it works - I can talk and use my air card in every room in the house plus the garage - and the way I was treated that I have sent several people to them through the years.
It ain't cheap, mine cost $950 (1900 MHz kits cost more than 800 MHz kits) but it has been more than worth it. I think they have smaller kits that start at about $300 or $400.
I don't know much about how the thing works but I didn't need to - it worked and that's all I cared about.
Good luck

If the problem is still there, try the repeater kit. Tell me how large about your house, how many floors, what network you are using, it's better to have picture of your house surrounding. I am professional on repeaters and installation.
I can tell you how to do it. bro.
Good luck
