I am a newbie and would appreciate any help.Last year at this time I lost my trusty Nokia phone.Because I wasn't elegible for an upgrade till October 31,I bought a cheap Sanyo 200 and had it activated by a CS.They automatically extended my upgrade elegibility for 2 years. That didn't bother me as much as an automatic 2 year contract extention.Iam on a F&F plan with my wife who is now out of contract.I have tried countless CS but of no avail.Any suggestions.Thank you in advance

This is one of those policies that I never liked of Sprints. If you buy a phone outright, you should not have had your eligibility or contract increased, however, that is how Sprint likes to do things. When I questioned them on this, they just said that they don't have to offer upgrades at all. The policy is rotten, as well as the response to it, however, I know of no way around it. Sorry.

McGirk,
Thanks for your informative reply.I was kind of afraid that was the case.Guess it's another year or the ETF.It's sort of a shame because for the last 8 years I have had nothing but good experiences with the company. This leaves a bad taste in my mouth.Oh well, thanks again.

No, that is not correct. If you bought a phone and didn't use your upgrade eligibility. Your contract should not be extended and your upgrade eligibility should stay the same and not to be extended as well. That is a system error and that you need to contact Sprints customer service. Then the rep after checking the validity of your concern will be connecting you to Sprint's sales department and they will fix the upgrade. Or, if you don't want to upgrade, at least correct your contract satisfaction date which should not be automatically extended.

That should be corrected. If you did not use your phone upgrade eligibility your contract should not be extended. if you may please give me your mobile # or account # i'll check it myself and i'll give you a feedback.I am a supervisor and trust me there's a way that we can fix this.

Please be reminded that we only extend contract for the following reasons:
1. Phone upgrade
2. If you take advantage of discounts being offered like: 5% or 10% discount monthly in 2 years, or $50 one time service credit, $70 one time service credit, one month free from monthly recurring charges.
Reminders:
If you purchase a phone without using the account's upgrade eligibility your contract should not be extended for 2 years for any reason.

Hi Sir,
I have already checked your account and I have already put back the original contract on your account which means that your contract on the two lines on your account has expired already, you still have the option to extend it or just keep it that way. Don't worry coz we don't automatically extend the contract. For verification regarding this concern you may check your account online at our website.
