I am new to the forums and just have experienced something ridiculous. I currently have a motorola razr and for some apparent reason I am being charged $800 in data usage. I have no clue where this came from! The charges/usage came on 6/13 through 7/20 when my father finally terminated the line. There were downloads of videos, ringtones, games, which I KNOW I didnt download them. Quality on razr for videos and games cant be that great. My dad and I just got off the phone with verizon and they ALL kept saying they are valid charges. Saying that only the phone(the razr I used) can make those charges. Any help on fighting this or anything I can do would be helpful, thanks im so pissed

the key point is that you didnt. some one else did. the phone instead of a sim has an ESN.( a unique number to that exact device.) which makes tracking purchases quite easy. whether or not is was you doesnt matter. that phone (YOUR RESPONSIBILITY) was the instrument used in the transaction.

Correct, was your device stolen or something? Did you recently replace or change your phone?
