I have a Samsung Juke now that got wet, it works as a phone but the screen stopped working so I decided to get a new phone. My brother recently got the LG Dare and I got about an hour to play around with it. I really liked it, especially the beautiful pictures it takes. I don't own a digital camera and didn't really want one, if I get that phone I will be happy with that as my main camera.
He didn't have any music on his phone so I couldn't test out the MP3 player on the phone, I didn't even see it actually. I enjoy playing my music outloud directly from the phone while walking down the street, can this phone do that and how does it sound? Music is one of the more important features for me.
Also, I have a Bluetooth 2.0 USB Adapter on my computer. Can I sync the Dare to my computer to access music/pictures/movies?
My brother's early opinion was the battery life was average at best, is an extended battery sold and if so how much better will I be off with it?
Lastly, he had it setup by a Verizon employee that when he gets an email the phone alerts him and he can check it. He however gets tons of spam and his phone is beeping at him quite often and the LCD screen becomes illuminated for a bit wasting battery. He didn't see any options to change these settings at all and after playing around with it I didn't either. What do you have to do to edit the email address and the alert sounds?
Sorry for the barrage of questions, but any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Response was already posted on the VZW thread, but another addition would be that at vtext.com you can block unwanted messages from numbers/email addresses. That may help with the spam you stated was occurring. Extended batteries are about $50 and they extend the battery life significantly, when I used mine it cut my charge rate by half (charged the device every other night instead of every night).

I read a review of the Dare and someone said the "extended battery looked ugly" and wasn't worth getting. Is it visible or any different from the normal battery? The guy's review wasn't too detailed other than saying it was ugly and not worth it.
