LG VX5400 to dial mobile numbers first from contacts list

The icon displayed to the left of the individual contacts seems to be the last number listed for that person. If there is a mobile, home and work number, the work number will always be dialed. If there is a mobile and home number, the home number will be dialed. Is there a way to select which number will be dialed without opening the listing and choosing the number? I usually want to call the mobile number.

Go to your contact list, select a contact, and then the middle OK button for "edit." Then scroll to the number you want to be the primary contact for the selected individual, and the lower right key under the screen should turn into "options." The 2nd option down is "set as default." It will ask you to confirm (press yes) and then you'll want to press the OK button again after confirming so it saves the change.
