Hey everyone, this is my first post and I tried doing a search on this but couldn't find anything. About a month ago I upgraded to an LG VX8350 and lately I've had people sending picture messages to me. I receive them and view the pictures fine but when I go to save them, I have my phone set so everything gets saved to the Micro SD card, the pictures won't save on the card. They'll temporarily appear in My Pictures but if I remove the card from the phone and put it in the adapter to insert into my computer the picture is gone. All the pictures I took with my own phone are still saved and on the card. I did find out, however, if I save the pictures from the messages onto my phone's memory and then move it to my card it will save with no problem. Is this normal or is there something wrong with my phone? I contacted Verizon on their website so I'll see what they say as well. Just hoping someone else had this problem too. Thanks for your time.

No, that sounds like a maybe situation. Try to format the card while it's in the device (this erases all the stored info), and then go to your phone's settings-->menu-->settings & tools-->memory-->save options-->from here you can change the default saving location so any pix/flix you store will default to the memory card. Your computer should recognize the files

I already tried re-formatting the SD card. I seriously doubt it's the card because all the pictures and videos I take using my own phone save to the card without any problem. I already have my phone settings to save ALL pictures and videos and music to the card. It doesn't have anything to do with the type of file because my sister has the same exact phone and she uses Verizon also. She sent me a picture she took with her phone and when I tried to save it onto my card it wouldn't save. It says that it is "Saved to card" but if I take the card out and reinsert it the picture I just "saved" is gone.

From your main screen press #4357*4357 and scroll down to your SW version. If it reads anything other than VX835V03 than you need to bring it to a store for a software update. It's free but takes about a half hour or so of your phone being plugged into the store's computers. Otherwise I don't know what the issue could be, perhaps a defective phone.

I went to the local Verizon store and they did the update for me and it didn't help at all. They told me to try sending the picture from my phone to one of the demo phones in the showroom and put my memory card into their phone to try saving it to the card in the demo phone and it didn't save in the demo phone either. I know for a fact that it worked in my last phone, the VX8300 but for some reason when I try saving the pictures to the card with this one it won't completely save. I just seriously doubt they would change this feature, expecially if the phone says that it saves the pictures to the card when it doesn't. I think there is a bug in their software and all the phones may have it.

I am also having this issue. I have no idea how to fix it, but I can tell you what I have done to work around it. I turn off the phone after saving the pictures, remove the card, replace the card, then turn the phone back on. When the phone comes back on, I find the pictures are saved to the phone's memory. I then hit options and manage my pictures. I select the pictures and move them manually to the card. Careful, not to move too many at once. My phone shuts off if I do this.
Again, I know this is not a solution, but it is a work around that will hopefully keep you from losing your pictures completely. I didn't used to have a problem with this, so I am also unsure why this has just started happening all of a sudden. Good luck.
