Hi all,
Apologize in advance if this question has been addressed before but a quick search didn't bring much. So i'd like to ask this to Verizon users in general.
I have been a Verizon customer for more than 3 years now (moved from ATT) and i have to admit that the only thing keeping me with this company is it's coverage (especially in my area). Among the many things that drive me bonkers with Verizon is the simple fact that one cannot enter a street address for a contact. So the question is.
Is there any phone that Verizon supports (apart from blackberries) that would allow me to enter a street address for my contacts?
Not even the Dare would let me do this .
Thanks

What about placing the street address in the email or the fax slot (assuming they are available)? I used that with another LG that didn't have a notes/address contact feature either.

Yeah that's what i do right now but it's not very convenient to type in and especially when you're transferring stuff over if it's not in the right format it doesn't get transferred properly.
I was hoping there'd be some maybe Window base phones (like the HTC) that would allow input of street address in contacts . I'm guessing it's a way to ensure the survival of PDAs; For a few more years anyway.
It's just beyond me how a phone can provide something as advance as a full browser but no street address in their contacts.

Smartphones are far more capable than the basic phones by LG for VZW. You will find the contact information on PDAs to be in more full detail that you can back up/transfer.

Thank you for your responses.
I was trying to avoid going down the smartphone road because they offer a lot more than i really need. I guess coming from an ATT background where almost any normal phone has the street address field in their contacts i was kinda hoping for the same with VZW.
Guess there's no such phone with VZW then. I hope there'll be a successor to the xv6900 soon. If i have to go the smartphone was i wouldn't mind something like that but for some reason i can't bring myself to own a white phone
Thank you.

That is why I had to transfer to a pda phone from verizon. I wish I could get a LG that would let me put in the addresses as well, but not able to find one yet that will has the space in it. although someone told me that some of the phones have a area where you can text in notes.
you could type in addresses there but if you transfer your data to any other phone it probably won't transfer

I was starting to think i was the only one with this type of complaints.
I was with ATT before and the phone i had (Nokia 6300) allowed me to enter street addresses in contacts. It wasn't even a note place holder, it actually had an address field.
However, at this point (much to my chagrin because i would love to have loved the LG Dare) i have eliminated the Dare from my radar when i found out that there was no way to easily lock the phone. With my VX6800 now there is a one button step to lock the phone. So short of having a password protected app with Verizon the easy lock gives me at least a way to enter some personal information on my phone.
I now have my eye on the HTC touch Diamond coming soon to Sprint. It's such a shame that one has to pick between network and phone.

The ways to make a phone easier to lock is to memorize the quick keys to your security section. After you get acquainted with your phone and abilities it should take only a couple extra button presses and a few seconds time.
