So what should I do? |
To include a speaker phone the hardware would probably have to be modified (louder speaker/bettermicrophone?) so i doubt a firmware update would include one of them.
If they did release an update however, I suppose you would need a data cable to update the phone, does anyone know of any data cables that work with the e700 ? I am having difficulty trying to find any UK sites that sell cables for my e700.

The speaker is strong enough for that function. Have you ever tried recording yourself (in the mms menu) and than playback.

you can use the IrDa-Port of your Laptop or buy a IrDa-USB stick at ebay(-Germany). There you can also get real datacables sometimes, but they are really expesnsive ( <50$)
IrDa (Infrared Dataport)

One thing I would like to add is when, i take a photo, I get the delete and options, options has send and set as wallpaper etc no option to go straight back to camera mode, If i want to just take photos i have to keep going to the modes and set it to capture only mode, the phone should remember the options, and not revert back to std. and on other things when writing an sms, there is no back button to get back to the inbox, have to use the red cancel button then start again. and those dam sounds then i send an sms take a photo delete some thing... why can't they be turned off...can I flash this phone with nokia software???

-To go back to camera mode press C.
-To go back to your inbox hold the C.
-You can delete those tones with diy and flash your phone.
-And no you cant flash it with nokia software

I too have been writing to Samsung in order to push.
For me an anoying thing is the continuous sounds to confirm an action or when a folder is empty. The only way now is to put the silence mode on.....but then...no ringtone. Just one of the things.
Also, the people at Samsung do not know (or want to know) many things. For example the Irda possibilities. At Samsung they kept on saying that Irda would not work, that I should wait for the "official" cable. I've been doing nothing but using my E700 and Irda for tunes, images and small animations.
So Don, if you ever need somebody next to you to bother them more (maybe even start a real collection of votes or daily calls and faxes) just let me know. I know from experience that the best way to get something done is to keep on calling, writing, annoying.....when asking doesn't work anymore.
