I have a samsung SCH U540 cell phone with verizon. My problem is that my phone is acting like it has a mind of its own sending (or re-sending)my text messages to a different number than the one I text. The funny thing about it is that this only happens when my phone is close (or next) to the phone of the person I originally text. Is there a reasonable explanation to this mistery? Is there a solution?

This situation has created problems for me several times. Is there a way I can explain to people what was happening? Changing my cellphone will not be sufficient. A lot is at stake. I feel I need to somehow demonstrate that it wasn't me the one sending these text messages. I need help!

So, are you being billed for each of the messages sent, or is the receiver just getting a bunch of duplicates on his/her side?

The receiver is getting duplicates. The messages were originally sent to my girlfirend and were of a private nature. Then all of a sudden somebody else (a woman) is getting those messages. Can you picture the situation?
The text messages have always been sent automatically every time I am with my girl and her phone is next to mine. Somebody told me it might have something to do with bluetooth technology. Is that possible? How could it be?

Buddy I think you need to stop text-sexing on your phone for a while until it is cleared up

I have (had) a Samsung SCH-U410, and it started malfunctioning, resetting every time a call or text was sent or recieved.
I think samsung just makes crappy phones -rolls eyes- stupid cheap ass korean technology.
