I got an LG Chocolate 8550 last friday and I'm trying to put music on it and retrieve videos and add them as well. I bought the Mobile MP3/Music Package from TalkWorks for my phone, that came with headphones and a usb cable and instructions to get the drivers for the phone and a music program. When I connect the phone I have to use the SyncResetTool for my phone to register with the computer and for me to access my Micro SD (512mb) memory card. It will then be connected for about 40 seconds, allowing me only to add a couple songs at a time (through My Computer and the actual drive). So it took me quite some time to put 80 sum songs on my phone. If someone can help me with this problem I would really appreciate it. Also, I am trying to get songs from my phone on to my PC, and I am also looking on how to put some videos on my phone, if at all possible. Once again, if anyone can help I would really appreciate it. Also, my carrier is Verizon.
All thanks,

Hi - new to this forum. Maybe we can help each other. I've just ordered a Chocolate 3 from Verizon to replace my two year old LG VX8600 (clamshell style that came out about the same time as the original Chocolate slider style). Is the Chocolate 3 the VX8550?
With the VX8600, I got the music esentials kit - USB cable and CD with Drivers. Would you post the instructions for the new drivers? I expect the cable has not changed, but the drivers might have.
I load music onto the VX8600 in Windows with Windows Media Player (WMP). I first, one time, put the CD in to have it load the USB drivers. Then I go into WMP. I then connect the phone to the USB cable. Lastly, I hit the "Sync" button on WMP to connect it to the phone. After that, I can select songs/playlists and have them sent to the phone (selecting phone's memory or SD card memory).
I hope it still works about the same way - if not, maybe we can figure it out.

The WMP method works, and Rhapsody can be used as well now. If you take all the right steps and it fails then contact customer service from a separate phone. They will try to figure out the issue

Yes, my Chocolate 3 (model 8560 - so the 8550 must be the Chocolate 2) arrived and the WMP method for downloading music into the phone still works fine. Nice touch LG - the power cable is also a USB data cable so I didn't have to go get one of those (as the 8560 cable is different from my old 8600) and the Windows XP USB drivers loaded off the phone.

I personally use a MicroSD USB adapter instead of the sync cable. I prefer this method as there are no drivers to worry about. Just put the music in the my_music folder and put video in the my_flix folder. The video has to be .3gp container with mp4 video with aac audio at 176x144 resolution
