my phone doesnt recognize my 32mb external memory.. it did at first when i got it but then after i rebooted it and added some stuff to it somehow my files on the external memory isnt working and also when i sync i only see the internal memory and i dont see the external memory i tried turning off and turning on the phone again and also taking out the memory to check if its in right.. any suggestions..? > <

there might be a problem with the memory card reader, or the actual card itself, it's the first time i have cam across a problem like that, or it may even be a software problem, and the only way 2 fix a software problem would be to jus perform a manual software update, which is free at sony ericsson.com, but if u r going to do that make sure that u back up ur fone first

i updated to the latest version still no help.. geez.. i got this on my first day and theres already something wrong with the phone .. could it be the memory reader.. ? that means i have to go and replace the phone?

if the phone jus suddenly went like that, and the software update didnt fix the problem then yeah take the phone back to where u bought it, or take it to a se repair centre, let me know how u get on with it

yay!! i fixed it!!!! i was looking in the sony solution fix and then i found formatting so i thought of formatting the disk and now it works!! ^^ thanks for the help

Hey fellas, just bought the P900- had it about 24 hours and i got a few questions...any help is greatly appreciated...
- The transfer time is very slow when transferring MP3s onto the External memory card, is takes around 4/5 minutes for one 4MB track! Is there any way to make this quicker? My PC is brand new and hand built by me, and uses USB2.0/USB1.0
- I sort of want to disable GPRS as i dont really need it, and dont especially want it being there all the time- this is a petty thing and doesnt really matter....but if anyone knows how to disable it..
- Lastly (for now!  ) where can i buy the RIGHT 128MB external card for expansion? As i want to use the phone alot for a decent MP3 player...

1st of all where are u from, because then i can advise you on the best websites to go to in order to obtain your 128mb memory card, to disable the gprs on the phone jus select a wap gsm account as default. and for transfering files i use a belkin blueytooth adapter, retails for around 29.99 in the uk, and available from your local argos store, i find the transfer speeds on them to be ok.

Hi Jemo,
I have the P900 and Belkin Bluetooth dongle as suggested earlier. Using some of the profiles I can transfer files, contacts etc but would like to use Bluetooth to sync my info with Outlook 2003. It works okay with the USB cradle but I want to use BT.
Do you know of a website that gives you decent instructions? I've read about mRouters etc but it seems gobldygook to me?

have you tried on the sony ericsson website, and looked under solution finder?because i dont sync my p900 wit bluetooth i cant really comment on this issue, because i dont know that much about it, pass me the link to that website u mentioned, and i'll have a look through it and see if i can make any sense from it
