Dual band phones meant for Europe/Asia (GSM 900/1800) will work perfectly. However, the ones meant for America (GSM 850/1900) won't work. For all the latest prices, kindly post ur budget. It will help us to present the phone in that particular budget range as it is not possible to list all phones from Nokia (40+ phones) and SE (almost 10).

In the range of 18K to 22K, these are the phones from SE and Nokia which are available:
All prices are quoted with warranty. If u are interested in grey market prices, please mention it over here.
Nokia:
N6600: 19.5K
N6230: 21K
Sony Ericsson:
P800: 22K
T630: 16K
Z600: 16.5K
Of these, my advice would be to go for the N6600 or the SE P800 which has become the best value for money phone. If u want a small phone that has memory expansion support, radio and can play mp3s, then go for the N6230. However, the phone to look out for is the upcoming SE K700 (expected in mid May for around 18-20k)

Hi everyone. I havent owned my p900 for long, but Im over the moon with the way it handles everything. Here are a few obervations Ive made (observations disgiused as questions)!
- It would be nice to have an 'off' or 'close' button for the various apps like mp3, camera, games etc. Because sometimes you can have lots of memory hungry programs running in the background slowing down the phone. Ive found this to be the case even if I exit out of games/apps or press stop on the music player etc. I always have to use Handy Day to make sure that all apps are closed!
-Ive heard the P900 can be used as a radio. Is this true and is there software out there for this purpose?
-Ive found the camera software on the phone to be ok, but there must be better stuff out there. Any recommendations??
Finally, even though Ive recently purchased my P900, Ive got one with the annoying squeak from the bottom left of the phone! Would SE doing anything about this? And if so, is it worth sending it off?
Sorry for the long post.
All the best

The Nokia 9290 communicator is aimed at the North American market. It works on GSM 1900 Mhz. Since Airtel operates on 1800 Mhz frequency, u won't be able to use it. Rather, u can go for the N9210i Communicator.

Hi, Ive read all 15 pages of this thread thus far and I still need help!
PLEEEEEASE Help me! Im at the end of my tether!!!
I bought a p900, that arrived last thursday, now the problem is, THAT IT WILL NEVER CONNECT TO MY PC! The two arrows in the taskbar say connected via USB as it says below:
(I hope its ok to insert images)
I then (following the advice of others) removed my anti-virus and firewall software to ensure that this could not be a conflicting issue. I have the latest drivers and everything for both the cradle and the phone monitor software. Talking of which, I belive that the PMS may have something to do with it, as you can see below, the USB port which the phone is connected is disabled:
I have not been able to change these settings whatsover, any idea how I could?
I really hope someone here can help, thanks,
Liam
