harlow guys, i am not so sure about the functions and ability of p900, from your messages in this forum, it seems like very fantastic ..
can i know if compare with xda II which using microsoft OS ... which do you think, symbian vs. microsoft ... is better .. ? In sense of portability of softwares, flexibility of modifiying menus, desktop .. and so on ..
does p900 support caller id? besides the photo which will be shown, what else of information will be show?
thanks ~

hey i have got opera to work on my phone, after loads of months of it not working,im on 02 active and it wasnt working it was saying loading and connecting and coming up 1kb and that was all,and this is what i did,
download opera from www.opera.com
go to www.02.co.uk
and get the 02 active GPRS setting sent to your phone ,
when the finally come may take a few mins, install it in to your phone
(you got that)
when install go to control panel and go to internet accounts click on the 02 WAP GPRS and then click edit,
and then go to advanced,
it comes up server log in and proxy at the bottom you see that,
in the server bit it says
user name
passwork
address,,,,in the address bit click on it and change it from WAP.02.co.uk to mobile.02.co.uk
there you go now go to opera and it will work
well i hope it does for you it did for me,
i dont know everything there is to know about the p900 but i know a bit,
so any questions i will try and help and a few software and games and themes you may want i may have to for free,

PLEEEEEASE Help me! Im at the end of my tether!!!
I bought a p900, that arrived last thursday, now the problem is, THAT IT WILL NEVER CONNECT TO MY PC! The two arrows in the taskbar say connected via USB as it says below:
(I hope its ok to insert images)
I then (following the advice of others) removed my anti-virus and firewall software to ensure that this could not be a conflicting issue. I have the latest drivers and everything for both the cradle and the phone monitor software. Talking of which, I belive that the PMS may have something to do with it, as you can see below, the USB port which the phone is connected is disabled:
I have not been able to change these settings whatsover, any idea how I could?
I really hope someone here can help, thanks,

Sorry for quoting this whole thing but have to stress the point. You see that your USB cable is COM port 4, well in your Phone Monitor options you have to Enable and Reserve that Com Port 4. If you need more help just post again. I surf this site while at my desk when the call flow is slow, so any questions on any of the phones I can probably be very helpful with

i am planning to buy a phone, i want to compare the prices of nokia and sony erricsson phones and i am not sure of the compatibility of different models. Will a phone with dual band work in india ? could anybody please give me the list of nokia and sony phone models with its price in the list, which will workin in india.
Thank you |
If you are looking for a phone many of the SE phones run on 900/1800 frequences and they also will work in the USA/Canada. any of the phones that end in a 0 is the phone you are looking for.
Z200, Z600, P800, P900, T630, T610 and T68i are all on 900/1800/1900
So you will be able to use those phones anywhere in asia and europe and other countries. But when you go to USA/Canada those phones only run on the 1900 frequency..which is still fine as long as that area you are visiting doesn't have a strong 850 and weak 1900. As for price wise of those phones..SE themselves only sell the Z200 (299.99 USD) Z600 (399.99 USD) and P900 (799.99 USD) and they will of course be unlocked.
