Have just purchased the P900 through O2 and it is certainly the best phone i have ever owned. I was also wary of the cost of using GPRS, though o2 customer services have told me that there is no charge for this service at present whilst they are charging for wap. Give your service provider a call to check. I have just go my latest monthly bill in and there was no GPRS charge, (yet)!

Am on O2 buddy, how did you know? Anywhoo- unless the browser you get bundled with the phone is Opera then i wouldnt know- as im just using the one supplied. I havent tried with GPRS as i prefer using the standard WAP for the moment- its cheaper isnt it? Just for browsing web pages etc...not downloading...
Took the keypad off yesterday and its great, i have alot less "accidents" where keys are pressed when i lock the screen, rather than locking the keypad which still seems to let through quite a few key presses...so i would recommend that to anyone.
Does anyone know if its possible to point the two buttons on the top right of the phone to different programs? (The camera and internet buttons)...as i would rather use the Internet button to open the MP3 player...is there any choice i havent yet seen on the phone to do this, or failing that, any third party programs?

hey all, wondering if anyone can help me with a problem i have, Im finding it diffiult to transfer files such as mp3s and themes to my p900 that i just got today.
I have taken a look about some sites and this forum to try and find out how to solve the problem but havent had any luck, I have saw suggestions to do it through pc suite however, i only seem to have the options of backup and restore, language, install software, sync station settings and synchronise. I dont appear to have the file manager option which i have saw people telling others to use to put a file into a folder on the handset. I dowloaded the most recent suite from the SE website but no luck
I also have a "myp900" desktop icon that i have ben trying to access to see if it is through that which i can access it but havent had any luck with that, whenever i double click or try to explore it, the desktop just flashes, my icons dissapear (including start bar) just lik,e when windows first loads, but then the icons come back and nothing happens, any help at all on this would be great, been trying to solve this now for 4 hours.
p.s. I work in tmobile customer services so if you have any questions about price plans, upgrades, policies or anything, just leave them and i will be able to answer them for you

One really freat tip for the P900 is that yiu should download all the good brand name games like Splinter Cell, etc. The games on the P900 are 3D, and we always want to take advantage of the 65 K screen.

Hi guys!
Wondering if you can help?
Picked up a P900 recently and as hard as I've tried I can't uninstall programs such as Solitare etc. Do these games have to be on your phone or any other software?
One other thing, when using the keyboard & calender option, I get both English and Chinese lettering, how can I get just English?
Many thanks, this forum has been a great source of information for me.
Cheers,
John

Here's my problem.
I got my P900 in Hong Kong and sure enough, it was in Chinese. I changed the language to English and problem solved... or so I thought.
Now, all the menus are in English but or example, in the calendar, when I tap on the month, the view of the month opens up and it's in Chinese.
Also, handwriting recognition is in Chinese and it cannot be changed.
My brother-in-law is an engineer at the Carphone Warehouse and he tried to flash it there. Firstly, the flashing software didn't recognise the phone and when we finally got it to work, it asked us what firmware to use. They were taken directly off the sony ericsson server and had strange codes after them. Anyway, to cut a long story short, he chose one and it seemed to be working. After the flash, I restarted the phone and it was all in Chinese again!
Could anybody offer any suggestions as to how to flash it with English firmware?

Hi
I bought p900 recently overseas (Australia), and have used it for 2 months by using a pre-paid sim card
1. Where can I buy a pre-paid SIM card for my p900 in the U.S?
2. Could anybody give suggestion for inexpensive service provider for P900.
By the way, I live in Ithaca NY.
Thanks
IJA

hi all, please forgive me if I am asking a silly question, but are there many webites that you can view on a mobile phone other than the ones that our providers - provide us? got on the web, but nothing to view most pages won't fit on the screen or the phone gives an error while trying to load
