Im wondering if i buy a unlocked sk3 or lx on ebay, the only thing i have to do is put in is my card, right. No codes no nonthing. And yes all i want is to talk and to text. If you guys can help me out that would be great. Thanks!

One thing you've got to check is the technology type on the phone. If it's a T-Mobile phone and you're wanting to use it on AT&T network, you should be fine just putting the SIM card in the T-Mobile phone. Keep in mind that some of the more enhanced features may not work, but you said you're only planning to talk and text. MMS may not work, internet may not work, but talking and texting *should* work fine.
The biggest thing is the technology type. When looking at unlocked phones for usage on AT&T or T-Mobile, you'll want to look for one that is GSM technology on the 850/1900 Mhz frequencies, and that's at the VERY LEAST. If it says it's tri-or quad band, that just means it has either the 800Mhz or 1800 Mhz frequencies or both, and that'll be fine also.
