Hi. I'm new. These forums seems pretty useful so I decided to join up.
Anyway onto the problem.
So I recently bought an LG VX9800 (the V) off eBay. It works great and whatever, but the video is limited to 15 seconds. That is unbelievably useless in my opinion.
What really annoys me is that the person who had this phone before me had left a few videos on it, and they were WELL over 15 seconds. I have a 1gb card in this phone, and it still won't go longer than 15 seconds. Not that it matters because the person before me was using the phone memory.
I took it to Verizon and they had no idea. I think the software it forced me to update when I activated it stripped it's features or something. Service mode does nothing for this either. And there's no option anywhere on the phone in any menu to change it. I'm not even gonna get started on how impossible it is to get a ringtone on it. On that note, why can't I send videos to facebook? Is that just a limitation? It says it can't send the resolution it records at.
Help?

That phone is an old model. You won't be able to save longer than 15 second clips, but you can place clips that are longer than 15 seconds on the phone if they were recorded elsewhere or another device. And uploading videos to facebook would only work if you send your pix to the online photo album first, and from there try to email them or upload them where you need.

It just tells me it basically can't send video, and this phone can take videos longer than 15 seconds. Look around. It used to before I updated the software. But no one seems to know what the deal is so I guess I have to give up.
This phone is a huge letdown. But I do like how I got Family Guy episodes on there. =P
