There is something relatively new that i liked to do on my phone, its called AIMtext. AIMtext can be used on any handset for any carrier, and has nothing to do with an extra monthly charge! (only per text as IMs come in and go out) I loved this because i have UNLIMITED text messaging, so i could use it whenever i please.

What I would do is send a text to: 246-246 and send a message saying: 1. From there, it would text you things and instructions to sign onto AIM and turn on an away message and view buddy list, etc etc.

the problem is, 1 day in july this just decided to stop working for me! I would text 1 to 246-246 and a text message would not come back to me giving all the instructions as it used to. I thought maybe its the server for that service thats down, but then i tryed it on my friend's verizon phone, and it worked, my friend's sprint phone, it worked, and other various phones, all of which received a text back from 246-246 allowing them to sign onto AIM.

So clearly, its my phone. I dont know how to fix it! all the reps i talk to have no idea what to say to me, probably because they have no idea what im talking about.

so if anyone knows about this, please let me know how i can get it back for me because i want my AIMtext back ASAP
